As a translator since September 1997, I specialise in the translation and proofreading of documents relating to law, business, the environment and the arts from German and Italian into English.

Apart from my freelance experience, I have worked in-house for the ASK Group in London where I translated and revised banking, insurance, legal and business documents in a team environment. I was also a Research Officer in the Artificial Intelligence Group at the University of Surrey. This involved terminology management, translation, survey organisation and analysis, report writing and administration on a number of projects including the European Commission-funded Pointer Project. This aimed to discover the demand and desire for shared terminology resources between language service providers. As a Data Editor at Financial Times Information in Holbury, Hampshire, I produced summary translations of financial information from annual reports.
